My First Flea Market

Finally, a moment to write about the White Place Flea Market...
The 2-3 weeks leading up to the market were... CRAZY, to say the least.
Thats when we decided, for sure, to go for it.
I'll spare you ALL the boring details, and only share a few.
Here's the booth the morning of...

Actually, this was taken before Nicole got there, with her incredible paintings, and etched glass and screen printed towels,  which were all incredible! So it looked a little better than this. :)

Brittany and Ryan made the metal flowers and the barn wood flags, and I would dare say, the metal flowers were the most photographed things at the market.

The timber framed pergola was built courtesy of Alpine Timber Frame & Truss,
and it was GORGEOUS!
(it totally helps to have OHTF on your team...:)
(btw, it's for sale as well.:)

I'm kicking myself for not getting any good photos of MY favorite dresser,
you can see a glimpse of it behind the red chalkboard door....
Painted in pure white and duck egg blue, clear and dark waxed to perfection,
with rusty flower knobs, drawers lined with Amy Butler fabric... (sigh.)
It was the first big piece to sell and it went quick. :)

Mark reluctantly said fairwell to HIS favorite dresser with the stained top.
I promised him I'd find another, somewhere, someday...
Gives me a good excuse to keep hunting. :)

My sister designed these awesome business cards, and I just happened to have a rusty hinge stuck in the perfect position to hold them. Love it!

It was a blast!
Would I do it again???
Talk to me in a year... :)

I definately couldn't have done it myself, I had LOTS of awesome help.
THANKS to them, and THANKS to all who came!
Hopefully everyone had as much fun as I did!

P.S. We have leftovers....

Red Radio Cabinet (sans the radio)
Table and 4 cane backed chairs (2 more chairs available)

I hope to highlight each of them in their own post soon!
Have a great day!!!

  1. Wow!! That looks so lovely. I bet it was the best booth there. I see the old barn doors. Cool. I wish I could have come up to it. What do you have left.
