Here is the "before" picture of this awesome dresser...
I'll admit, I kinda liked the plastic "funky"ness of the top drawers,
and I intended to keep them.
But, once I started tackling the thing, I decided to go in a different direction.
And this is what I came up with....
I'm hesitant to say this is the "after"....
because it might end up being the "in between."
I'm so tempted to slap those plastic funkies back on,
switch out the knobs, and paint the whole thing turquoise...
What do you all think?
UPDATE: It remains the same... A friend of mine saw it and thought it would be perfect for her little boys room. I had to agree...
SOLD! :)

I think it looks great! I'd leave it the way it is, but then, I'm not a fan of that plastic "gingerbread".
ReplyDeleteThank you! I know, who ever thought plastic on wood furniture was a good idea?
DeleteYou're so funny! I have the hardest time committing too....
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
Paint something else turquoise!
Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one... I DO have plenty of other things I can paint turquoise...:)
DeleteI like it the way it is too.
ReplyDeleteThanks mom!
DeleteSo did you use butcher paper stencils for the numbers...???
ReplyDeleteI like-em!
Hey Danielle, I'm so glad you found me at Petticoat Junktion and like my "Hue had me from Hello". That gave me a chance to check out your site and become a follower. Love your awesome makeovers. I like that you use a lot of white and wood finishes together. I have never actually refinished a wood piece. Just painted it. thanks for the inspiration, Kathy
