Oh yes, it's salvagable...

A big THANK YOU to my brother and sister in law for giving me a chance to salvage this dresser!
It was riddled with problems, but still had some sweet bones that I couldn't pass up.
Here is a photo during the process...

We replaced the top, rebuilt the top drawer, removed one drawer rung, and added shelves...
After some Annie Sloan paint and wax, this is what became of it...

Our outside kitty was so curious about this new cozy soft place to explore...
Isn't she pretty?

It's a pretty light weight dresser, and still has a few imperfections,
but it's as cute as can be, and very functional
Ha! Funny story, I just sold it back to my sister in law... ;)
Thanks, and have a wonderful day!

Two-Toned Stained Dresser with Mirror/Chalkboard

Isn't this dresser just as cute as can be? It's feminine and masculine at the same time. I can just imagine it as a bathroom vanity... I turned the mirror around and painted the back of it with chalkboard paint. So versatile!

It's sitting on the original wooden castors.

And it's for sale! Shoot me a message if you're interested!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! :)

Dresser Makeover in "Kitchen Scale"

"BEFORE"....

And "AFTER" painted in MMSMP "Kitchen Scale."
The drawer fronts were sanded and waxed, not stained, that is the natural color of the wood.
The pulls were painted in ASCP "Pure White."

I love the natural chipping of the milk paint...

And the gorgeous variation in the color...

It has the cutest little metal castor wheels that work really well!

This piece is now SOLD.
Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Post-WildHare Vintage Flea Spring 2014

I had such a swell time at the WildHare Vintage Flea last weekend. My favorite parts, as usual, were meeting new friends, catching up with old ones, and doing a bit of shopping of my own... :)
I was in such a hurry the morning of, I didn't get any good booth shots.
Here is one "during" shot taken late Friday afternoon of two side tables that I will surely miss!

Congratulations to Becki Adams, who was the winner of the $25.00 booth credit and two early bird passes. She was kind enough to share it with her sister who, like me, has a thing for old quilts. She snatched up the two I brought, and it looked like she snagged a few from other vendors as well.
So fun!

Thanks to all who came! I hope you had loads of fun and found many treasures!
