Hutch in "French Linen"

This old hutch was really in perfect condition when I found it.
The finish was dull in spots, and just needed a little update...
"BEFORE"
Aaaaand........"AFTER"
Painted in Annie Sloan's "French Linen"
with clear and dark soft wax finish,
with oil rubbed bronze cup pulls and knobs.

French Linen is one of my all time favorite colors, I just love it!
(I had to redo the drawers twice, because I didn't realize the wood filler didn't quite take the first time....)

And who knew my dad had such awesome old books at his house?
Score!

Have a wonderful day!

Antique Philco Radio Cabinet

Radio Cabinet "before..." (well, not quite...ha!)

The radio had been gutted before I bought it.
I thought it would make an awesome tv console for a small tv...
and I've been anxious to paint something in my new can of
"Emporer's Silk" by Annie Sloan
So, here is the "after"

I waxed it with clear and dark wax,
and updated the pulls with oil-rubbed bronze.

When I bought it there was no bottom, and the middle shelf was wonky and slotted,
So I had OHTF build a few new shelves. :)
The back, on the bottom, is open for cords and such.

On a personal note,
The trophy is my dads, which he won in 1972 (a very good year ;)
when him and his U.S. CIOR teammates were the champions
of the NATO games pentathlon.

Awesome, huh? :)
Have a wonderful day!

(Dimensions: 23 1/2" W x 37" H x 20" D)

Side Tables in Country Grey

I don't even want to tell you how long I've had these side tables...
I really wanted to finish them in time for the market,
but being the procrastinator that I am, I just couldn't do it all.
Here is what they looked like when I found them.
(Of course, I started sanding them before remembering to get a photo, as usual.)

And, here they are now... finally!

I started painting them white at one point, then changed my mind
and painted them in ASCP "country grey"
I love how the white shows through in places...

They are waxed with clear and dark wax,
which gives them a beautiful "old world" look.

Oil rubbed bronze pulls...

Drawers are lined with fabric
Dimensions: 20 1/2" tall, 22" wide, and 28" deep

My First Flea Market

Finally, a moment to write about the White Place Flea Market...
The 2-3 weeks leading up to the market were... CRAZY, to say the least.
Thats when we decided, for sure, to go for it.
I'll spare you ALL the boring details, and only share a few.
Here's the booth the morning of...

Actually, this was taken before Nicole got there, with her incredible paintings, and etched glass and screen printed towels,  which were all incredible! So it looked a little better than this. :)

Brittany and Ryan made the metal flowers and the barn wood flags, and I would dare say, the metal flowers were the most photographed things at the market.

The timber framed pergola was built courtesy of Alpine Timber Frame & Truss,
and it was GORGEOUS!
(it totally helps to have OHTF on your team...:)
(btw, it's for sale as well.:)

I'm kicking myself for not getting any good photos of MY favorite dresser,
you can see a glimpse of it behind the red chalkboard door....
Painted in pure white and duck egg blue, clear and dark waxed to perfection,
with rusty flower knobs, drawers lined with Amy Butler fabric... (sigh.)
It was the first big piece to sell and it went quick. :)

Mark reluctantly said fairwell to HIS favorite dresser with the stained top.
I promised him I'd find another, somewhere, someday...
Gives me a good excuse to keep hunting. :)

My sister designed these awesome business cards, and I just happened to have a rusty hinge stuck in the perfect position to hold them. Love it!

It was a blast!
Would I do it again???
Talk to me in a year... :)

I definately couldn't have done it myself, I had LOTS of awesome help.
THANKS to them, and THANKS to all who came!
Hopefully everyone had as much fun as I did!

P.S. We have leftovers....

Red Radio Cabinet (sans the radio)
Table and 4 cane backed chairs (2 more chairs available)

I hope to highlight each of them in their own post soon!
Have a great day!!!
